Youth Ministry

 

Christian Community Presbyterian Church (CCPC) offers a youth program to provide spiritual growth and fellowship for middle and high schoolers. Past activities have included:

  • Winter and Summer weekend youth retreats
  • Confirmation class
  • Souper Bowl of Caring, raising money for the Bowie Food Pantry
  • Pasta Palooza luncheon during Lent 
  • Helping with Warm Nights
  • Mission trips both here in the US and to Mexico 
  • Montreat, a one-week fellowship retreat with youth from around the country
  • Sunday Morning Connect during Sunday School time

  • Fun activities for Halloween
  • Youth Lock-in
  • Participating in programs at CCPC
  • Christmas party

Sunday Morning Connect (SMC)

A message from Kristen: I Brock will be hosting SMC this Sunday, April 21 at 11:30 am.  Class will be in the Senior High room at CCPC. Class will be held in the Senior High class room at CCPC.
I wanted to start this message with announcing that Charlie will no longer be co-teaching the Middle schoolers and High schoolers. Unfortunately, he had to step back due to personal reasons. I was hoping to have this conversation with the class in person to process this, but circumstances haven’t allowed that to happen. We will all miss his presence in class. I will continue to teach Sunday Morning Connect. Please reach out to me if you have any further questions/concerns.

This week (April 21) we will be discussing how to respectfully disagree with each other rather than judging others for what they believe.
The worksheets for this lesson (Lesson 10) were emailed, but are also linked to, below, and will be available in class. 

We will hold off doing the class on zoom until we hear of a need to do so.
